I actually agree with this. When I was a lot younger, I bought a copy of
some software from someone online and the seller didn't buy insurance but
did buy delivery notification. The silly postman dropped the package off on
our doorstep and some twit in the neighborhood stole the package. USPS
would do nothing since the postman delivered the package to our door. :-P
If you really want your goods from USPS, get the seller to pay for the
service which requires the buyer to actually *sign* for the package. If
you're not there, they'll leave a form which says they missed you. After so
many misses, you'll have to pick it up at the post office, but at least
you'll get your package!
